Full Gospel Fellowship was founded in 1987 by Pastor Eugene McCoy with a desire for Christian unity and fellowship. The first members were his wife, their two children and their families, and a few other families totaling about 25 people in all. The building did not have pews at the time, and there were no apartments surrounding it. The church has been lightly remodeled through the years, adding a fellowship hall and classrooms, and has grown in number to about 100 members.  Pastor McCoy ministered faithfully at Full Gospel for 17 years, and for nearly 30 years before that in other churches. Pastor McCoy retired in 2004 and John Wright, who he had mentored for 10 years, was appointed as pastor.
